1. How can I be eligible for an e-Gift Card?

This offer is available to customers who've bought Direct Line Life Insurance, directly via the Direct Line website or over the phone on or after 22nd July 2019 and have had their policy for six months without cancelling. Within 30 days of taking out your policy, you'll receive an email or letter confirming how to redeem your e-Gift Card. This offer is limited to one e-Gift Card per household.

2. What e-Gift Cards can I choose from?

You can choose from a Amazon.co.uk Gift Card*, Love2shop code or M&S e-Gift Card.

3. How do I work out which e-Gift Card I am eligible for?

The amount of your welcome gift depends on the monthly premium you chose when you bought your policy.

4. How long do I have to claim my e-Gift Card?

Once you've had your policy for six months you'll be sent your 'How to claim' letter/email. You'll have a further six months from this to claim your e-Gift Card, after which the link will expire. You will have 30 days to view your e-Gift Card once it has been revealed to you. After this time, the access will expire. Please print or save your code in a safe place.

5. How and when do I get my chosen e-Gift Card?

AIG has appointed Marketing Lounge Partnership (MLP) to fulfil your e-Gift Card. Your unique reference number will be sent to you by MLP after your new life insurance policy has been live for six months. Please allow 30 days from that date to get your gift. Once you have your unique reference number you can visit the site to redeem your e-Gift Card.

6. I've had my policy for 6 months, but haven't received an email regarding my e-Gift Card.

Once you've had your policy for six months the email or letter will be sent. Please allow 30 days from this point for the delivery of this communication. If you haven't received your email, there is a possibility that its gone to your email junk or spam folders so it may be worth checking for emails from directlinetreats.co.uk. If you can't find this email then don't worry, please call the MLP Rewards gift helpline on 01565 656 144 quoting your policy number and postcode. This helpline is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm. Calls are charged at local rates.

7. If I have chosen my e-Gift Card, can I change it?

No, once you've chosen your e-Gift Card we will not be able to change this for you. Please make sure you select the right e-Gift Card for you.

8. I've forgotten my unique reference number, what should I do?

If you've forgotten your unique reference number, please revisit the link in your email or letter and re-enter your policy number and postcode and your original unique reference number will be revealed.

9. How long do I have to view my e-Gift Card code for?

You will have 30 days to view your e-Gift Card code once it has been revealed to you. After this time, the access will expire. Please print or save your code in a safe place.

10. I don't have access to the internet, what should I do?

If you don't have internet access to redeem your e-Gift Card, please call the MLP Rewards gift helpline on 01565 656 144 quoting your policy number and postcode and a member of the team will be happy to help you. This helpline is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm. Calls are charged at local rates.

11. How long do I have to use my e-Gift Card?

Amazon = 10 years from date of issue
Love2shop = 12 months from date of issue
M&S = 2 years from date of issue

12. Do I have to use the money on my e-Gift Card all at once? What if I haven't got enough money on my e-Gift Card to pay?

e-Gift Cards can be used in full or part payment for any products purchased from the retailer. If you haven't got enough money on the e-Gift Card to pay, then you will have to pay the remainder using another payment method.

12. Will I receive change if I do not spend all the money on my e-Gift Card?

No change will be given in cash but any value remaining on the card will be shown on the till receipt and can be used in full or part payment for future purchases.
